My passion for sport fishing started years ago as a young boy, spending my days at the Ventura pier in California. I wrapped my first rod (an old Roddy my Dad gave me) when I was 12. In 1990 I started wrapping rods as a hobby (something to get my mind off the daily grind of law enforcement), then friends wanted one and you know how the story goes. Now twenty-five plus years in business, my rod crafting skills have been honed and styles have broadened. Every rod I build is purely custom, fitting your taste, personal measurements and your style of fishing. You pick the components, colors and design or grant me artistic license. Most of my work is purely thread based, but sometimes the requested image (design) is just too detailed for thread work and that is when I must use a decal to complete your rod. Every year, I donate a custom rod to Friends of Rollo, an organization which takes underprivileged children out for a day of fishing. My work has placed 1st in professional arts at the Mid-State fair in Paso Robles, CA and can be found across the country hanging over the rails and in the hands of my satisfied customers.
In January of 2018 I relocated to Chino Valley, Arizona. Although I am still wrapping rods, I am busy getting a new home and shop built. Please be patient. Thank-you. My boat and crew of choice is Frank Lopreste and the Royal Polaris. Its a crew that will always do their best to make you feel like family! This site is dedicated to those who serve as first responders and our nation's military and veterans, may God bless you all and keep you safe. |
